Icy and Hot

These last couple of days have been pretty amazing. Our weather of course is cold and icy. We have both made it to work and back both days with only 1 incident. JoNell brushed up on a curb during a turn on here way to work Tuesday. Here is where the HOT part comes in. We have had D-Now at our Church this weekend and continued on with a Revival Sunday-Wednesday. Brother Freeman has lit our Church on Fire. We have seen around 126 people saved since Friday night including adults. The Holy Spirit is definitely moving in our Church. It's kind of sad that tonight is the last night.

Recording studio

We have made a lot of progress on the office. We are turning into a office/recording studio. I am a little sad to lose my "Man Room" but it kind of was my idea to get this change going. I built a desk and traded my recliners to my parents for a futon so more people could sit in there. I now have the Presonus Firestudio recording interface and my guitar, bass guitar and some electronic drums for the studio. I will probably be using the closet for vocal recording and just play my instruments in the office since I can plug directly into the firestudio. Its all recorded on my PC. Here are some pics of the studio.

More puppy pics

I just thought these were the cutest pics so far of the puppies. I had to put them in. We spent most of today just doing a whole lot of nothing. I watched the Cowboys get humiliated by the Giants. I'm not sure what is wrong with them because even with Romo they were struggling. Oh well, thats the way it is when rooting for any team. You have to take the good with the bad. Anyway back to the pics.

Wow its been a long time since my last post.

Well it has been a while since my last post. I am one heck of a blogger. We have been spending a lot of time over at Tim and JoAnn's house because their dachsund has had some puppies and we are getting one of them. My mom is getting 2 of them. They are now 3 weeks old and we can't wait to get to bring little Rusty home. My mom is naming here 2 girls Rosey and Reba.

JoNell has turned 38 on the 23rd. She wanted a new Entertainment center built for the living room. So I took 3 days off last week and built a new one for her. I made it out of Oak. Man has the price of lumber gone up. I could have built this thing a couple of years ago for half the price. We both like it but are not sure what to do with the old one.

I had better go for now and will try to update this thing more often.

Birthday Guitar

This past weekend we drove up to Ft.Worth to stay with Trey and Dominique. We spent Friday night with them and spent most of the day Saturday guitar shopping for my birthday present. We finally got to meet their Corgi's. We watched as Trey made them slide into walls and doors with his laser temp. meter. Here is my new toy.

It is a Breedlove AC25/SR PLUS. It was a 1000.00 guitar that I paid 700.00 dollars for after the sale price and trading in my other guitar. I also bought an extended warranty that covers everything including running over it with my car. Here is Trey and playing.

Dog Run

The dogs have finally pushed us over the edge. They will hopefully remain outdoor dogs from now on. This should let Speedy go outside without getting trampled by 100 pounds of Basset. I spent most of the day Saturday driving t-posts into the ground and putting up a dog run. It gives them a lot of room to run around still. They have the whole south side of the house and a good part of the house just east of our bedroom. The thing that pushed us over the edge was the other morning I had let the dogs out when I got up and it had rained during the night. When Speedy wanted out Gordy and Gracie pushed their way back into the house getting mud everywhere including our white sheets. Here are a few pics of the dog run.

Sneezing Panda

This is so hilarious I just had to share it.
