More puppy pics

I just thought these were the cutest pics so far of the puppies. I had to put them in. We spent most of today just doing a whole lot of nothing. I watched the Cowboys get humiliated by the Giants. I'm not sure what is wrong with them because even with Romo they were struggling. Oh well, thats the way it is when rooting for any team. You have to take the good with the bad. Anyway back to the pics.

Wow its been a long time since my last post.

Well it has been a while since my last post. I am one heck of a blogger. We have been spending a lot of time over at Tim and JoAnn's house because their dachsund has had some puppies and we are getting one of them. My mom is getting 2 of them. They are now 3 weeks old and we can't wait to get to bring little Rusty home. My mom is naming here 2 girls Rosey and Reba.

JoNell has turned 38 on the 23rd. She wanted a new Entertainment center built for the living room. So I took 3 days off last week and built a new one for her. I made it out of Oak. Man has the price of lumber gone up. I could have built this thing a couple of years ago for half the price. We both like it but are not sure what to do with the old one.

I had better go for now and will try to update this thing more often.

Birthday Guitar

This past weekend we drove up to Ft.Worth to stay with Trey and Dominique. We spent Friday night with them and spent most of the day Saturday guitar shopping for my birthday present. We finally got to meet their Corgi's. We watched as Trey made them slide into walls and doors with his laser temp. meter. Here is my new toy.

It is a Breedlove AC25/SR PLUS. It was a 1000.00 guitar that I paid 700.00 dollars for after the sale price and trading in my other guitar. I also bought an extended warranty that covers everything including running over it with my car. Here is Trey and playing.

Dog Run

The dogs have finally pushed us over the edge. They will hopefully remain outdoor dogs from now on. This should let Speedy go outside without getting trampled by 100 pounds of Basset. I spent most of the day Saturday driving t-posts into the ground and putting up a dog run. It gives them a lot of room to run around still. They have the whole south side of the house and a good part of the house just east of our bedroom. The thing that pushed us over the edge was the other morning I had let the dogs out when I got up and it had rained during the night. When Speedy wanted out Gordy and Gracie pushed their way back into the house getting mud everywhere including our white sheets. Here are a few pics of the dog run.

Back from SoCal

Well we've been back from SoCal for a few days now and we have not fully recovered. We are both still tired and readjusting back to our time zone. We had a blast in San Diego. We went to the Zoo, took a Harbor Tour on a boat, toured the USS Midway museum, went to a Dog Beach and saw some really cute dogs. We were in Temecula for the first 4 days and it was very pretty with a lot of avocado farms. Temecula is where the Training school was for the ventilators I was learning about. The weather was pretty cool most of the time we were there. Our rental car was a Mustang convertible and it was a lot of fun to drive. We didn't get to drive with the top down very much because of the cool temps. There are about 30 or so pics from our trip below. We actually took 465 pictures total. I picked out some of our favorites to display here.

First Blog Ever

This is my first attempt at a blog. I have a few friends that do this quite regular and I thought this would be a great way to share some things in our lives with our friends and loved ones. This weekend was the first time our Praise Team led the Worship Service by ourselves. It turned out pretty good and a lot of people said that they enjoyed it. I was very nervous because I was sort of elected the leader until we find a new song leader. Other than that we did not do much. We rested a lot cause we finished the Kitchen remodel last week. Well everything except the baseboards and I'll tackle them tomorrow. I hope to post some pics of the new kitchen on here shortly.
